About the race
Beast of the East is a Trail Monkey event on Jersey that follows woodland paths and north coast cliff trails to finish at Devil's Hole. Two point to point distances are offered and both routes finish at Devil's Hole.

The Half Marathon begins in St Catherine’s Woods and runs via Rozel along coastal cliff paths to Devil's Hole. The route is mostly off road, with roughly 2,700 ft of climbing, narrow trails, rocky sections and steps. Entry is limited to 60 runners.
The 10k starts at Bouley Bay and follows the northern coastal path through Wolf's Lair, Les Platons and Bonne Nuit Bay to Devil's Hole. The course is about 95% trail with roughly 1,600 ft of climbing and is limited to 50 runners.
Both distances are waymarked, have GPX available as a backup and provide aid stations with water, Coke and simple treats. The event is cup free so runners should carry their own drinking vessel. Entries include an event T shirt and a finisher medal; tea and cake are served at the finish. A mandatory kit list is required for safety.
