The Brazos Legend : Cameron Park, Waco TX (April 3, 2027)
The Brazos Legend is a trail running event held in Cameron Park, Waco, Texas, on April 3, 2027. The course uses dirt and rocky single-track trails within Cameron Park and is based at the Redwood Shelter (2300 Cameron Park Dr, Waco, TX 76708). A water-carrying system is required for all events with a 16-ounce minimum. Ruck weight requirements are specified: competitors over 150 lb carry 30 lb, those under 150 lb carry 20 lb. For the 50K and 50M events a headlamp is required when it is dark outside.
Aid stations are placed on the loop and include a main aid station (mile 0 and mile 10), Rinky Dinky Aid Station (mile 5.5), and Emmons Water Station (mile 7.5 and mile 8). Aid stations provide hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice, and ice. No drop bags will be shipped because of the loop size; participants who leave the race must notify the race director at the start/finish area.
The event is part of the Texas Legends Series and offers event gear and awards including longsleeves, finisher medals, a 10M ruck patch, first place awards for male and female divisions, and a Dead Freakin Last award for the 50K.
