Bear River Backyard Ultra
The Bear River Backyard Ultra takes place on November 13, 2026 in Delmar, IA at Tubbs Farm, directly behind The 61 Drive-in Movie Theater. The event includes a Backyard Ultra and a separate Bear River 4 Miler held at the same site.
The Backyard Ultra format requires competitors to complete a 4.16 mile loop every hour, on the hour, until only one participant remains. Each registered runner receives a 10 by 10 foot camp space for a personal aid station. Participants may bring one to three crew members to assist during the event.
Registered runners receive a custom Bear River Backyard Ultra hockey sweater at packet pickup. Top male and female finishers earn cash prizes, with prize amounts determined by total registration numbers. Food and beverages are provided during the event; participants may also bring additional supplies or nutrition. Registration is $200, capped at 250 participants, and closes on Thu, Nov 5 at 11:59 PM CT.
