The Bear River Backyard Ultra is a backyard ultra event held in Delmar, Iowa, on the Tubbs Farm property behind The 61 Drive-in Movie Theater (2173 Hwy 136, Delmar IA 52037). Runners complete a measured loop each hour until only one participant remains.

Distances and formats:

• 4.16-mile loop repeated every hour until one participant remains
• 4 mile community run with a required headlamp

Each registered participant receives a 10 by 10 foot camp space for a personal aid station and may bring one to three crew members. All registered runners receive a custom Bear River Backyard Ultra hockey sweater at packet pickup. Food and beverages are provided during the event; participants may bring additional supplies or nutrition.

Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, with prize amounts determined by total registration. Registration is set at $200 and will be capped at 250 participants. Registration closes on Thu, Nov 5 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
