Bear Brook Trail Races
The event takes place at Bear Brook State Park, 157 Deerfield Road, Allenstown, NH. Two distance options are offered: a half marathon and a trail ultramarathon.
- Half Marathon: measured as close to 13.1 miles as possible.
- Bear Brook Trail Ultramarathon: variable distance, likely between 50k and 100k; distance may change year to year and the course will be released one month before the race.
The race is a GPX only event with minimal to no course markings. Entrants must download and use the course GPX for navigation. Aid stations do not provide cups; participants must carry their own bottles or soft flasks for refilling. Pets are not allowed on course and crews or pacers are not permitted.
There is no cutoff for the half marathon. The ultramarathon has cutoffs; details will be provided when the course is released. Runners who withdraw must check in at the nearest aid station, notify volunteers, and turn in their bib number; failure to do so may result in a ban from future events.
Camping is available inside the park; nearby towns with lodging include Concord and Manchester. Registration closes on Wed, Sep 9, 2026. The organizer’s refund policy allows a full refund minus Ultrasignup fees if cancellation is completed through Ultrasignup at least 60 days before the race; later cancellations forfeit fees or may request a deferment.
