Bay Area 100
Bay Area 100 is a 100-mile ultramarathon that runs point to point through the East Bay. The second running is scheduled for June 12, 2027, and the course begins at the gates of California Memorial Stadium. The route includes about 18,000 feet of vertical gain and entrants have 33 hours to complete the distance. Runners pass ridgelines and redwood sections and encounter varied weather and panoramic views that stretch from the Golden Gate to Mt. Diablo.
The event is a 2028 Western States Qualifier. Detailed course materials from 2026, including routes, pace charts, and GPX files, are available and a 2027 Athlete Guide will be published in early September. Supporting programs around the race include a Coaching Collab that offers 30 minute sessions led by master coaches, with evergreen videos available on YouTube, and an expanded Coaching Collab planned for 2027. A three day training camp on the course, with a gathering on Saturday night at Sports Basement, is scheduled for April 16 to 18 and is open to all runners. The event lists multiple partners and sponsors and publishes race results and news items from recent editions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
