Battle of the Beatton 2026
Battle of the Beatton takes place on the trails of Beatton Park at 248 Road, Charlie Lake, BC, Canada. The event offers two trail race options and serves as a fundraiser for the cross-country programs at Bert Bowes Middle and North Peace Secondary School.

The 12 km race uses a handicap system based on age and gender to stagger starts over a 25 minute span; older runners and younger children start first and faster younger runners start last. There is no handicap for the 5 km distance. Awards are presented to first finishers, fastest times, and the top placing family, scored by the lowest placings of the top three finishers per family.
The course will be clearly flagged on race day and is subject to minor changes. Registration is available online until October 2. Standard entry is CA$40 per runner; race day registration is CA$50. Family pricing applies when multiple registrants are added in the same transaction: registrants 1 through 3 are CA$40 each, registrant 4 is CA$10, and registrants 5 through 8 are free.
