Barley's Broken Rail Relay

Barley's Broken Rail Relay is an annual relay race based in London, Ontario, starting at 1065 Sunningdale Rd E and finishing at Broken Rail Brewery in St. Marys. The fifth edition covers about 50 km split into 8 sections.

Teams consist of four runners and one support vehicle. The format has one team member running a section while the others drive to the next transition. At least one runner per team must be on the course at a time, and a maximum of two runners from the same team may run the same section. Ideally each runner completes two sections. Sections alternate between roads and trails and range from 4.5 to 9 km.

Participant benefits include a limited edition BBRR T shirt provided by New Balance and on course nutrition supplied by Precision Fuel and Hydration. The finish at the brewery features food and beer on site.

Registration includes an event fee of CA$20 plus a CA$50 minimum donation. All event profits go to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Team spots are limited to 30. The event is supported by BackRoads Brews + Shoes, Broken Rail, New Balance and Precision Fuel and Hydration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
