Barkin' Mad Ultra 2026
Barkin' Mad Ultra 2026 is a two-day trail running and walking event at Rokeby Recreation Reserve, Rokeby VIC, Australia on 3 and 4 October 2026. The event is organised by Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc. and aims to raise funds for rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of dogs, with a stated fundraising target of over $30,000 and a participant capacity of about 400.

Entry categories include walk and run options, separate entries with and without dogs, adaptive runner categories, and a 50 km team relay. Example entry fees range from A$35 for the 2 km walk to A$275 for the 50 km race. Breed and age limits apply for longer distances; brachycephalic breeds and dogs younger than one year are not permitted in the 20 km and 50 km races.
Race requirements specify mandatory human gear by distance and mandatory dog gear for all races, including a lead or harness, identification, poo bags, nutrition, and collapsible water bowl. Aid stations provide water, electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen, and dog treats; dog crates will be available at aid stations and the event hub. Cut off times are set by distance and sweepers will clear the course. Digital GPX maps are provided to participants and course markings will be in place.
