Barkin' Mad Ultra 2026
Barkin' Mad Ultra 2026 is a community ultrarunning and walking festival at Rokeby Recreation Reserve in Rokeby, VIC, Australia on 3 and 4 October 2026. The event raises funds for Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc. and aims to support shelter care and rehoming; the event hopes to collectively raise over $30,000.

The event has capacity for 400 participants and dogs. Entry fees vary by distance, ranging from A$35 for the 2 km categories to A$275 for the 50 km categories. There are separate categories for participants with and without dogs, adaptive runner categories with accessible facilities, and a 50 km team relay option.
Dog requirements include a lead or harness for the entire course, identification, poo bags, and portable water bowls. Breed and age limits apply for longer races; for example, dogs under one year and brachycephalic breeds are restricted from the 20 km and 50 km distances. Mandatory gear lists are specified for humans and dogs by distance. Aid stations supply water, electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen and dog treats, and dog crates are available at aid stations and the event hub.
