Asbury Steeple Chase 5K
Asbury Church will hold its first Steeple Chase, a 5K course that includes a series of obstacles placed along the route. The event is organized by Asbury Young Adults and takes place at Asbury | Tulsa, 6767 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133, on October 24, 2026.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and is not certified. Obstacles are described as designed to challenge participants, provide surprises, and include playful elements that may elicit laughter. The format accommodates runners and walkers by presenting a nonstandard route with inserted challenges rather than a traditional point-to-point or certified race.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Flourish Homes. Flourish Homes is a Tulsa organization that provides a Christian home for vulnerable young women to receive emotional and spiritual healing while receiving life skills training and educational support aimed at helping them flourish.
Registration pricing is tiered: an early bird fee of $30 is available through October 1, after which the fee increases to $35. Registrations made by October 5 are guaranteed a shirt. The description does not state course certification, competition categories, or official timing methods beyond the not certified designation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
