Copper Corridor Trail Runs
The Copper Corridor Trail Runs take place in Superior, Arizona on Saturday, February 27, 2027. The event uses trails around Picketpost Mountain and sections of the Arizona Trail and departs from downtown Superior for most distances.
Distances offered:
- 50K
- 32K
- 17K
- 12K
Runners leave the historic downtown area and head west into Arnett Canyon, passing flowing creeks, dense sycamore stands, Saguaro cactus forests and notable rock formations. The 50K includes prolonged miles on the Arizona Trail and a loop around Picketpost Mountain. The 12K starts and finishes at the Superior Public Pool.
Aid stations are placed periodically on each course, with spacing that can range from about 2 to 12 miles depending on the distance. This is a cupless event; participants are expected to carry their own drinking containers for refills. The event uses chip timing and finish line results display. Bibs include timing chips and runners must display bib numbers for aid station check in.
Crews are permitted at specified locations only and pacers are not allowed. Drop bags are available at the start/finish area but there are no remote drop bag locations. Courses are marked with orange ribbon, reflective medallions and laminated signs; wrong way trails are flagged with blue and white checkerboard flagging.
MedStar Solutions medical staff will be on site at the start and finish to provide first aid and to manage medical withdrawals. Street parking is available in downtown Superior with additional parking at the Town Hall lot and at the high school for the pool start.
