About the race

APEX FORGE is a 24 hour endurance challenge in Worcestershire that requires participants to return to the start line every hour. Each hourly round begins on the hour and requires three laps totalling 6.81 km; any participant who is not on the line when the next hour begins is eliminated. The event runs across mixed terrain with elevation changes and includes mandatory night laps that require a headtorch and reflective gear. Participants may walk sections; the important requirement is to complete each hourly loop within the time limit.

The course reverses direction every three hours. In the final hour remaining individuals compete head to head while teams complete the final hour together. Entries can be individual or team relay for teams of two to six, with one team member required on the line each hour. Eliminated solo participants may form a team mid event if they register with Event HQ before the next hour.

The event provides timing and tracking, basecamp support, event photography, a finisher’s medal, an event T shirt, camp area access, and a team leaderboard. The event takes place at The Firs, Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2027. Mandatory kit includes a headtorch, reflective gear, waterproof jacket, hydration, phone and an emergency whistle. Payment options and entry prices are published by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
