Angry Tortoise 25K/50K - February 20, 2027
The Angry Tortoise 25K/50K is the 14th anniversary running event held in Cary State Forest in Bryceville, FL, on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The event uses forest roads through flatwoods and offers multiple aid stations along the course.
Distances:
- 25K
- 50K
Both distances have a generous eight hour cut-off. The course is described as flat and well supported. A free hot shower is available in the male and female restrooms located near the start and finish area. Registered runners receive a race shirt, and shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations made after 12:00pm on 01 February 2026; organizers order extra shirts and will try to accommodate later registrants.
Awards are given in each distance for first, second and third overall male and female; first male and female masters (40 to 49); first male and female Grandmasters (50 to 69); and Senior Grand Masters 70 and over. The event provides a post-race lunch for participants. Proceeds from the race support the Florida Striders Kids Running Programs.
Registration is listed with a fee range of USD 57.00 to 70.71 and an availability status indicating open registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
