Angry Tortoise 25K/50K - February 20, 2027
The Angry Tortoise 25K/50K is a trail running event held in Cary State Forest, near Bryceville, FL, on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The course runs through flatwoods on forest roads and uses well-supported aid stations. Both distances have a generous eight-hour cut-off.

The event marks its 14th anniversary in 2027. Race participants receive a shirt (size not guaranteed for registrations after 12:00pm on 01 February 2026) and there are finisher awards. Awards are given for first, second and third overall male and female, and for age groups including masters (40-49), grandmasters (50-69), and senior grandmasters (70 and over) in both the 25K and 50K races.
Facilities at the site include a male and female restroom with a free hot shower located near the start and finish area. Lunch is provided after the race. Proceeds from the event support the Florida Striders Kids' Running Programs.
