About the race
The Ainos Mountain Marathon is a mountain running event organized by the Cultural Association of Pyrgi “To Pyrgi” with the support of regional and local bodies and participating local organizations. The race takes place on Mount Ainos in Kefalonia and follows trails that run along the mountain ridge with views of nearby islands and mainland ranges.

The 34 km course crosses technical singletrack and steep terrain and is intended for experienced mountain runners. The event includes a pre-race pasta party the evening before and provides food for participants after the race. The village of Pyrgi, at the square by the church of Agioi Pantes, serves as the race base and the start area for the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
