Adventure Trail Ultras - O'Bannon Woods State Park
Adventure Trail Ultras takes place September 19, 2026 at the Group Camp in O'Bannon Woods State Park. The event offers multiple trail distances on the Adventure Trail system and on-site campground lodging near the start and finish.
The event distances are:
- 50 Mile
- 50 Mile Relay (teams of 2–4)
- 50K
- 25K
Course and race details include mapped loops, total elevation change, and time cutoffs: the 50 Mile covers two laps of the 25-mile Adventure Trail loop with about 7,800 feet of climbing and a 16 hour cutoff; the 50K records about 4,700 feet of climbing with a 13.5 hour cutoff; the 25K has about 1,840 feet of climbing with a 13 hour cutoff. Drop bags and crewing are allowed for the 50 Mile and 50K. Pacers are permitted for solo 50 Mile runners with registration and specific join points on the course.
The 50 Mile Relay uses the full 25-mile loop with legs of 16.4 mi and 8.6 mi; exchanges occur at the Group Camp and the St. Rd. 462 aid station. Teams manage their own transport between exchange points and must exchange a baton or bib for each segment.
The course is described as rugged singletrack with rolling ridgelines, deep forest, rocky sections, and creek crossings. On-site bunkhouse camping is available at a stated nightly rate and additional park camping options exist. Online registration is open through race start unless sold out; limited in-person registration is available race weekend for an additional fee.
