Adventure Trail Ultras
Adventure Trail Ultras takes place at O'Bannon Woods State Park and offers multiple trail distances on the Adventure Trail system near southern Indiana. The event includes these options:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 25K
- 50 Mile Relay (2–4 person teams)
The 50 Mile uses a 25-mile loop completed twice, with a 16 hour cutoff and about 7,800 feet of climbing and descent. The 50K features a 6-mile introductory loop before joining the main 25-mile loop, with a 13.5 hour cutoff and about 4,700 feet of climbing and descent. The 25K follows a separate section for roughly 7 miles before linking to the main loop, with a 13 hour cutoff and about 1,840 feet of climbing and descent.
Relay exchanges occur at the Start/Finish area and the State Road 462 aid location; relay legs are 16.4 mi, 8.6 mi, 16.4 mi, and 8.6 mi, and teams manage their own transport between exchanges. Drop bags and crewing are allowed for 50 Mile and 50K runners. The course is marked and features rolling technical singletrack, ridgelines, creek crossings, rocky sections, and steady climbs. Aid stations, optional live tracking, finisher medals, post-race food, on-site bunkhouse lodging, and campground camping are available. Online registration closes September 12 and on-site registration may be available if not sold out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
