8 Hours at the Farm

This event takes place at Gurski Farm / Williams Park in Brookfield, Connecticut. Runners complete repeated laps of a marked 4 mile loop that combines single track and rolling farm trails. The format is a timed event with options that allow participants to run as many laps as they choose within a set time limit.

Event options include:

  • 8 hour timed event
  • 4 hour timed event
  • 5K and 5K canicross events

All events use the same 4 mile loop. Aid at the start and finish offers water, an electrolyte drink, and common food items; competitors must provide their own hydration container because the event is cupless. Course marking and marshals are used to keep runners on course; staying on the marked course is mandatory. If a runner chooses to drop out, they are expected to notify a course marshal to avoid unnecessary search actions.

Entries are nontransferable and refunds are not available. Entry fees change by event and by registration date, with early registration pricing offered. Medals and awards are given to finishers and to top overall finishers in male and female categories; additional sponsor swag is provided. The event is held on Town of Brookfield property and participants are required to follow rules that protect the venue and other participants. November weather in Connecticut can be cool in the mornings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
