8 Hours At The Farm

Located at Gurski Farm and Williams Park in Brookfield, Connecticut, 8 Hours At The Farm is a timed trail running event. The race takes place on a 4 mile loop that features a combination of single track and rolling farm trails through a country landscape. Participants navigate the same loop multiple times, creating a community environment where runners frequently pass one another.

The event offers several duration and distance options to accommodate different preferences:

  • 8 Hour timed race
  • 4 Hour timed race
  • 4 Mile trail race
  • 5K trail race
  • 5K Canicross (running with dogs)

The course is marked with flags and signage. As a sustainable event, it is "cupless," meaning runners must carry their own hydration systems such as bottles, packs, or reusable cups. A start-finish aid station provides water, electrolyte drinks, and standard snacks like pretzels, chips, and candy.

Participants in the timed events receive a specially designed medal and additional finisher awards. The venue is located in upper Fairfield County near the New York border, on property owned by the Town of Brookfield. The terrain consists of rolling trails with natural hazards typical of the region, such as roots and rocks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
