7Weekspoort MTB and Trail Run Challenge 2026
The 7Weekspoort MTB and Trail Run Challenge is a two-day cycling and trail running event held on 3 and 4 October 2026 at Karoo62Escapes in Zoar, Western Cape. The event is presented as a community project sponsored by Ladismith Cheese and hosts a race village with accommodation options on site.
Distances offered include:
- MTB: 85 km, 43 km, 30 km
- Trail run: 18 km, 10 km
- Fun runs: 10 km (Sunday), 5 km (Saturday)
Entry fees are listed per distance: 85 km MTB R600, 43 km MTB R400, 30 km MTB R300, 18 km trail R300, 10 km trail R200, and fun runs R100. Goodie bags are provided for the first 100 entries.
The programme spans Friday to Sunday and includes registration, a pre-event dinner, MTB races and trail runs across the two days, prize giving for several races, and social activities such as rugby viewing and live entertainment. A race village provides on-site services and accommodation choices with published weekend rates, including Bush Motel units, A-Frame cabins, gypsy caravans, chalet options and serviced camping plots.
