6633 Arctic Ultra - Classic Edition
The 6633 Arctic Series is an expedition race across remote Canadian Arctic landscapes. Competitors travel along the historic Dempster Highway and frozen ice roads from Whitehorse in the Yukon into the Northwest Territories, passing through Hurricane Alley and Wrights Pass. The event is offered over multiple distances.

The event begins in Whitehorse and includes specified accommodation and return plane travel to Whitehorse after the race. The expedition package lists three nights in Whitehorse, one night in Dawson City, one night in Eagle Plains and one night in Inuvik. The course is not fixed; the route can change because of weather, ice and terrain.
This is a self sufficient format. Competitors carry their own gear, camp in the wilderness and choose when to move, rest and eat. Checkpoints provide hot water, shelter and encouragement. Key checkpoints and mile markers on the route include Sheeps Creek at 40 miles, James Creek at 71 miles, Fort McPherson at 113 miles, the Peel River midpoint at 160 miles, Aklavik at 211 miles, Inuvik at 286 miles, Gateway at 329 miles and the finish at Tuktoyaktuk at 383 miles.
