About the race
The 5k Monster Dash in Wheeling, West Virginia takes place on 10/24/2026 at 1000 Fairmont Pike. The event offers a 5K run and a walk, with registration open beginning 8/8/2026 and closing on 10/24/2026. The registration fee is $35.00 and all entry fees are non-refundable.
Costumes are encouraged and the event is presented as a community activity that helps provide Marshall County teens with holiday assistance. Awards are given to the top three finishers by male and female in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. There are also first place overall awards for male and female walkers and runners.
The course may include a mix of terrains, including woods, gravel roads, paved surfaces, and open fields. Only service dogs are permitted on course. If the in-person event cannot be held for any reason, registrations will be converted to a non-refundable virtual event rather than rescheduled, and participants will receive information about the virtual format.
