Area 8 Trail Run 2027
The fourth event in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series takes place at Area 8 Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario. The site is a former limestone quarry that operated from the late 1950s to the mid 1990s and has been transformed into a natural area set into the escarpment with trails that run along the outside.
The event offers multiple race options for different ages and distances:
- Grit
- Enduro
- Sport
- Kids 3K
- Kids 1K
Event operations include packet pick up, separate kids races, and multiple race categories culminating in awards. Parking is located near the Start/Finish area. Park admission will be added to the race fee at registration; race participants are admitted to the park at no extra charge on race day while spectators pay the park entrance fee on arrival. Swag and finisher medals can be purchased at registration.
The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink will be available but participants expected to be out longer than an hour should carry a personal receptacle. For safety the race course does not permit dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, or nordic walking poles. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each gender and age category in each distance and to the top three male and female finishers overall. Awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.
