49 Miles of HOPE
The event raises money and awareness for HOPE of Winston Salem while a runner marks his birthday by running his age in miles. Proceeds support weekly distributions of nutritious meals and fresh fruits and vegetables for food-insecure children and families in Winston-Salem.
The event offers multiple race options around a looped course at Kimberley Park, just outside downtown Winston-Salem. The course is a 0.55 mile crushed gravel trail loop. For reference, 5K entrants run a little under six laps and 10K entrants run just over eleven laps.
